Lilac Rain or Juniper Moon?

How about Moonglow? or tiger lily or appache? or why don%26#039;t you just name it %26#039;kid%26#039; and call it a day

Lilac Rain or Juniper Moon?
Your daughter will hate you for this. They sound like names from the %26#039;60s or the latest Glade candle scent.
Reply:um.....neither.
Reply:You CAN name your kids Cheap Weed but please don%26#039;t. My name is %26quot;Augusta Yeager%26quot;, and you have no idea how much I resent my parents for it. Trust me...%26quot;Lilac Rain%26quot;, like %26quot;Purple Rain%26quot;? Like the movie with Prince? And Juniper Moon? Like the band?

Don%26#039;t be mean. :(
Reply:I like them both. I also love the name Meadow, kinda along the lines of your names. Also, my mom wanted to name my sister Autumn. Our last name was Flowers. Autumn Flowers. My dad won that battle and she is just another Amy, like every other girl around her age
Reply:I don%26#039;t really like any but if I chose one it would be Lilac
Reply:I like the name Willow
Reply:Juniper Moon =]

Lilac Rain is like that youtube song. Chocolate Rain!!!!!!!!!

You should definitely watch it
Reply:sorry - they sound like bath gels. Don%26#039;t do it to your child!
Reply:Hey, there%26#039;s nothing wrong with hippie names. If you%26#039;re going to do it right you should let the name come to you while you are on a vision quest under the influence of magic mushrooms. Can%26#039;t say I care much for Tuesday. Isn%26#039;t that the name of the little girl in the Addams family. If you want a real hippie name try something like Sunshine Rainbow Karma Goodvibes.
Reply:no kidding? are you serious?!
Reply:Sorry, I%26#039;m not into the hippy name.

However, if you used Juniper or Lilac with a normal name for a middle name, that would be just fine. Many Pagans have named their children after trees. I see no problem with that. But combined with the middle names you have listed, it sounds silly.

I do love Tuesday Rose. Nico is a boy%26#039;s name, so that is out, IMHO.

BTW, if you don%26#039;t want opinions that are different from your own, then you shouldn%26#039;t ask for opinions.
Reply:Juniper Moon! I love Juniper.
Reply:I would ignore the criticisms. These are great names.

I actually like the combination of a more %26quot;traditional%26quot; (but no overly used) name and a more %26quot;unique%26quot; middle name. I have a similar combination and I%26#039;ve gone back and forth throughout my life. Lilac and Juniper are unique enough, but not so out there that it could become a source of irritation. %26quot;hippie%26quot; middle names are fun (and often have spiritual significance) but can be kept private if desired.

I don%26#039;t know why people think these names are destined to cause so many problems.

%26quot;Lilac%26quot; is actually a very old traditional name. %26quot;Juniper%26quot; isn%26#039;t that rare these days and can be shortened to %26quot;June%26quot; should the child ever feel they need a more %26quot;acceptable%26quot; name.

Edit: I would advise against Nico Caillou. It sounds a lot like %26quot;Nico Claux%26quot;, the famous French murderer and cannibal. Nico with a different middle name might work better.
Reply:Either way the child will probably have to grow a thick layer of skin to get through school no matter what you choose. Just remember, the child has to live with the name and kids these days can be harsh...just look at some of the responses here...your child may have to live that everyday of his or her life.
Reply:think about what other will call her when she gets into high school...or when she gets into the job market..what might be cute to a parent...might not be cute when the child grows up...
Reply:Nature and Nature and Space...lol.
Reply:no, not for real is it?

Ella - your eyes look really sad - I hope you do not feel that sad really.
Reply:I kinda think they sound like the names of body washes or scented candles.
Reply:You goddamned hippie :)

I like Juniper, its nice and can be shortened to June. Although...Liliacs are my favorite tree. No, No...Juniper.
Reply:Neither. They sound like hippie names, no offense.

I also agree with %26quot;Addie%26quot; they do sound like air fresheners.

ADD: How about Birch Tree Green Grass? Or, Blueberry Bush? Maybe even Geranium Dew?.... or Elmo twig Goddess?
Reply:I like Juniper Moon and Tuesday Rose.

Juniper could have the nickname Juno and Tuesday just sounds sharp... kind of reminds me of the Addams family with Wednesday, very cool.
Reply:They kind of sound like they would be scents for air fresheners (no offense intended) Maybe Lily Rayne yould be a little better. Srry.
Reply:If I HAD to pick, I%26#039;d say Lilac. But they both sound a little hippy dippy. How about Lily? It%26#039;s more feminine in my opinion, and it%26#039;s still a plant! :)

My sister is like you! She cracks me up. One time she mentioned she could name a baby boy Sage. Why not Thyme or Oregano...
Reply:That%26#039;s just sad... Poor kid.
Reply:If i had to choose, Lilac Rain
